· We are a network of Canadian publishers’ reps who travel to library systems to give book talks about upcoming books for the season. We can speak about the upcoming blockbusters, midlist favourites, books suitable for bookclubs, fiction, non-fiction, books for male readers, books for reluctant readers, YA crossover books and just darned good reads. We can also do a children’s presentation.

· Each publisher does a presentation of approximate 20 minutes covering 8-10 books. We will provide a listing of the books we will be talking about ahead of time and provide handouts listing all the information about the books to the participants.

· By the end of our presentation, every librarian will have 40-60 books that she/he can recommend to patrons and will have a good overview of the key books of the upcoming season.

There is no fee for our presentations however, we do need your library to:

· provide the use of an auditorium or meeting room and a microphone
· invite librarians in your system to our event, often called a publishers’ open house. These talks are designed to appeal to reader advisory groups and all librarians who work on the floor and deal with patrons on a daily basis. We can do two talks in one day, so that staff can spell each other off, if that is easier.

· Let us know which types of books you want to hear about, how many publishers you would like to hear from, and give us some suggested dates. We’re very flexible and can adapt to your library’s needs and interests.
